The block diagram shows how I was able to eliminate one of the supercombiners by using an older style 2 channel cable splitter that only passes DC through one side. This actually worked fine, but turned out not to be the most efficient method. At first I wired it using two supercombiners and then combined them using a simple 2 channel cable splitter. I updated the System Block Diagram from my first review to show how I updated the wiring to accommodate the additional channels. Also, at the time that I installed the expansion system, there was no reference diagram that I could find showing how it needed to be wired.

It would also allow me to listen to CDs, MP3s, ITunes, Podcasts, and again a practically limitless number of music sources. This plan would allow me to watch Blu-Rays, DVDs, and downloaded movies from Netflix, Amazon Unbox, the Sony Store, and an almost limitless number of digital outlets. The expansion plan included using a Microsoft Vista Computer with TVout for channel 4 (Shift-RED), using my Sony 400 Disc DVD Changer for channel 5 (Shift-GREEN), and my Sony PlayStation 3 for channel 6 (Shift-BLUE). A short time later, a package showed up at the door, and it was a 2nd Xtender and Wiring Kit. I submitted my request to review a 6 Zone Xtender Expansion and was told that I made the short list. Thankfully, as I was pondering my expansion costs, BOCS Company's own David Feller began looking for people with a variety of system requirements to evaluate their system and post reviews.

This included new remote controls for 9 of the 10 TVs. Since then, my family has thoroughly enjoyed the experience of having access to all of our recorded TV shows on any TV in the house at any time! The up-front cost was between $500 and $600 for 3 sources and 10 TVs. I posted my initial 3 Zone BOCS (Broadcast Over Cable System) Xtender review a few months ago. I also enjoy offroading, golf, and most sports. I am tolerated by my lovely wife, son, and daughter.
